"Musavat" will campaign against the referendum
At the regular meeting of the Board of the party "Musavat" on August 8 the main topic of discussion was the state of affairs with the creation of the initiative group "Respublika". The group will conduct propaganda against the amendments to the Constitution at a referendum on 26 September. The Committee members reported on progress in the registration of the initiative group.
The head of the executive office of the party Gulaga Aslanli said that the CEC received signature sheets, which have already been distributed among 70 organizations.
Board members reported on the collection of signatures in regional organizations. Then there was a schedule of future work. On 18 July Ilham Aliyev initiated a referendum on amending the Constitution. On July 25, the Constitutional Court decided to hold a referendum on 26 September. -02D-
