National Council Condemned Anti-Ukrainian Position of Azerbaijan in PACE
The National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) condemned the position of the Azerbaijani delegation at the PACE winter session on Ukraine.
Recall that the Azerbaijani delegation voted against anti-Russian sanctions and deprivation of the Russian delegation to PACE of voting rights there.
The National Council regards it as support for the occupation of the Ukrainian territory and separatism in the country.
The National Council believes that the position of Azerbaijan in PACE is contrary to international law and, above all, the principle of territorial integrity and inviolability of borders.
"This behavior is puzzling, because Azerbaijan itself faces with aggression and occupation of 20% of its territory.
This undermines the position of Azerbaijan in the international arena and the issue of upholding the requirements for the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity.
The position of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE does not reflect the position of the Azerbaijani people," the statement noted. -05D-
