
National Council condemns arrest of Parviz Hashimli
"The arrest of Parviz Hashimli is a political order, its purpose is to keep the public pressure, presenting such serious accusations against journalist and human rights activist, reads the statement received of the press service of the executive office of the National Council.
The National Council demanded from the authorities to stop the nomination of falsified charges against Parviz Hashimli, to arrange his meeting with his lawyer, and inform the public about the health of the journalist.
An employee of "Bizim Yol" newspaper, the head of the site moderator.az, head of the Center of protection of political and civil rights Parviz Hashimli was arrested on September 17 on charges of smuggling and possession of weapons (pistols.) -16D04-
