NATO discusses Azerbaijan"s participation in İPAP
Yesterday in Brussels, the headquarters of the NATO, assessment document on the participation of Azerbaijan in İPAP (Operational Plan IPAP) for year 2012 was discussed .
According to the report of the mission of Azerbaijan to NATO, representatives of the Foreign Industry, Defense Ministry and State Border Service of Azerbaijan participated in the discussions in the format of "28 +1".
Azerbaijan's contribution to the solution of issues on the agenda of the organization: security issues, to promote security operations in Afghanistan (ISAF), etc., was noted. They also discussed the reforms in the security sector of Azerbaijan, interoperability with NATO forces, regional security, including the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
Such consultations between NATO and Azerbaijan are held once a year. At present, Azerbaijan is in the third stage of İPAP covering 2012-13. –06D-
