Baku/29.07.20/Turan: Negotiations on the Karabakh settlement should be real and substantive, stated Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov yesterday at a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Baku Mikhail Bocharnikov.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the minister noted "the strategic nature of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia" and this meets mutual interests and ensures stability in the region, "the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister continued.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the development of relations in the spheres of industry, tourism, transport and communications, education and other areas.
During the meeting, the parties touched upon the current situation in the region, including the recent battles in the Tovuz region and the attacks of Armenians on Azerbaijani demonstrators abroad.
Bocharnikov, in turn, stressed that the issue of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is constantly in the center of attention and Russia's position on the conflict is well known, the report said.
Previoulsy, the Russian Ambassador to Armenia Kopyrkin discussed the issue of tension on the border with the Minister of Defense of this country Tonoyan. –06D-
