New Position for Ramiz Mehdiyev

President Ilham Aliyev has created a state commission to improve the operation of reservoirs. The appointed head of the state commission is the head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, who a few days ago was requested to improve the sewerage system of Baku.

Apparently, Mehdiyev has successfully solved the problem of Baku that he has been instructed to improve the operation of several reservoirs - Shamkir, Yenikend, Mingechevir, Barbara and Jeyranbatan.

The text of the order stated that the purpose of the commission is the study of the problems of these reservoirs, evaluation and forecasting of possible man-made processes.

The state commission also included Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov, Deputy Head of the President Administration Zeinal Nagdaliyev, Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov, Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov, Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov, Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev, Chairman of JSC Azerenergy Etibar Pirverdiyev, Chairman of JSC Azersu Korkmaz Huseynov, and Chairman of JSC Land Reclamation and Water Resources, Ahmed Ahmedzadeh.

The State Commission in three months shall identify the factors that threaten the safety of the reservoirs and submit proposals to ensure their safety to the President.

Nobody explains what role can be played by the 80-year-old former Communist ideologist in dealing with all these issues. -71D-
