New Turkish ambassador presented his credentials
On Thursday President Ilham Aliyev received credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Turkey Erkan Ozoral. Aliyev congratulated the diplomat on his appointment, and expressed confidence in further successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. In reply Ozoral said that he would do everything possible for that. Further, the parties discussed the state of affairs in matters of bilateral cooperation in transport, tourism, construction, agriculture, and other spheres.-02D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
