Nikol Pashinyan
On the results of the Armenian Prime Minister's visit to Moscow: will the Aliyev-Pashinyan meeting take place?
Baku/13.10.21/Turan: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that took place on October 12 in Moscow, "very productive".
"The meeting was very productive. We discussed both the bilateral agenda and the situation in the region. We will continue contacts to implement the agreements reached," Pashinyan wrote on his Twitter page at night.
Earlier, the parties reported that the meeting discussed the implementation of the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021, further steps to strengthen stability in the region and restore economic communications.
The Kremlin has not yet made any comments on the results of the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Armenian Defense Minister was in Moscow jointly with Pashinyan and discussed the situation in the region and on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border with his Russian counterpart.
A few days ago, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan, also discussed these topics during his visit to Moscow.
It should be noted that before Pashinyan's visit to Moscow, the Armenian media reported that Putin was initiating a trilateral meeting of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia. During the meeting, a framework agreement on the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations may be signed. This can happen within the framework of the upcoming CIS summit.
An indirect confirmation of the validity of these expectations was a publication in social networks that a program is being prepared in Azerbaijan to integrate the Armenian population of Karabakh into Azerbaijani society.
In turn, Tural Ganjaliyev, head of the public association of Azerbaijanis of Karabakh and a member of the Milli Majlis from Khankendi, published several tweets on his Twitter account in recent hours that the sooner Azerbaijani citizens of Armenian nationality integrate into society, the better. He added that language courses were organized for this purpose and that it was necessary to join efforts with our citizens of Armenian origin to strengthen peace and rejoice in the citizenship of Azerbaijan. -02B-
