Opposition insists on rally in central Baku
Baku / 13.02.20 / Turan: Organizers of an opposition rally against falsification of parliamentary elections will again appeal to Baku Mayor's Office to be allowed to hold a rally on February 16 in the city center. This was reported to Turan by one of the organizers of the rally, leader of the D18 movement Ruslan Izzatli.
According to him, the organizers are not satisfied with the proposal of the authorities to hold a rally at the stadium of the Neftchi sports club in the village of Lokbatan.
The rally is held by the parties Musavat, Republican Alternative, the D18 movement, and independent candidates Farhad Mehdiyev and Gunel Safarova.
Last Tuesday, they notified the city hall of their intention to hold an action near the metro station "May 28." On Wednesday, authorities did not allow the rally at all, but later proposed to hold an action in Lokbatan. –06D-
