The Baku Executive Power responded to the letter of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NUDC) about the intention to hold a rally at the Mehsul Stadium on April 9 at 3 pm. The city administration proposed to hold the action not on April 9, but on the day before - on the 8th.

On April 4, the members of the meeting committee Ogtay Gulaliyev, Tofig Yagublu and Ilham Huseynov were received by  the head of the Baku Executive Power Hajibala Abutalybov.

"Hajibala Abutalybov suggested holding a rally on Saturday and explained this by considerations of ensuring the right of citizens to rest," Turan Gyulaliyev said. In turn, the organizers of the rally recognized the proposals of the head of the city as "illegal". "For according to the legislation the organizers determine the time, place and slogans of the rally. Our supporters do not consider holding a rally on Sunday a violation of their rights, "Gyulaliyev said.

Currently, the organizers are discussing the response of the mayoralty with a view to deciding whether or not to hold a rally in the time proposed by the city administration. The rally was planned under the slogans "End  Corruption, No Monarchy!", "Freedom to Political Prisoners". -03B06-
