The Public Forum scheduled for Jan. 21 on the theme: "Opportunities for the democratization of the legal and political situation on the eve of the presidential elections on 16 October 2013" has been canceled.
The date of the event is unknown. According to the organizer of the event, the head of the Center for Monitoring Elections and Democracy Training Anar Mammadov, the Forum was prepared in cooperation with NGO "Law and Development," and was to be held in the Nasimi Hall at Park Inn.
However, at the last moment the hotel management for unknown reasons, refused to offer the room.
As Mammadli said, they are seeking opportunities for the event in the near future.
In recent years the practice of failure of contracts to conduct activities by disloyal NGOs and political parties has become the norm. Refusals came from the hotels Hayatt, Ambassador, Park Inn, and others. -17D-
