The Embassies of France and Germany mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Elysée Treaty by the French President Charles de Gaulle and the German Federal Chancellor Konrad Adenauer. A cultural program in Baku on January 22-23 will be dedicated to this anniversary.
The Elysee treaty of friendship and cooperation was aimed at ending years of hostility between Germany and France and deepening the partnership between the two countries, which have played an important role in the future of European integration.
As stated in the joint press release of the Embassies, on January 22, at 16.00 at the Diplomatic Academy of Azerbaijan a conference on "French-German reconciliation" will be held.
The conference will be held by the French expert Filipp Moreau Defarges.
On January 23 at 19:00 the German-Azerbaijani cultural association will hold a concert in Kapellhaus by the Azerbaijani performers - jazz musician Salman Gambar and opera singer Farida Mammadova with a Franco-German repertoire.
In the first part of the concert there will be classical music, in the second - Jazz.
On Thursday at 19:00 Kapellhaus will show the documentary "Pina" about the famous German choreographer Pina Bausch in 2D with French subtitles. -06D-
