Pashinyan about the benefit from unblocking roads
Baku/20.03.21/Turan: "Unblocking communications is beneficial for both Armenia and Azerbaijan. Opening roads is beneficial for Azerbaijan, as it will get in touch with Nakhichevan, and beneficial for Armenia, because we need a reliable railway connection with Russia and Iran. This means that our economy can change significantly," Armenian Prime Minister N. Pashinyan said on March 20 at a meeting with residents of the village of Erkin Bazmaberd in the Aragatsotn region, Sputnik-Armenia reported.
Along with this statement, the Prime Minister's speech included an anti-Azerbaijani part; he said that Baku planned to expel Armenians from Karabakh, but did not achieve its goal. Armenians stayed in Karabakh.
"We should not hope that we will be able to resolve the Karabakh issue quickly. However, as Pashinyan noted, it is necessary to move forward to unblock communications in the region. "
It should be reminded that unblocking of communications between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey is provided by the tripartite statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia on the ceasefire in Nagorno Karabakh, which came into force on November 10. There is no consensus in Armenian society on the benefits or harms of this decision. -0-
