Pashinyan will leave in order to stay
Baku / 10.16.18 / Turan: On the evening on October 16, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan intends to resign in order to bring extraordinary parliamentary elections closer. "We must complete the velvet revolution that began in the spring. I will make a more specific statement tonight," Pashinyan said at a government meeting. Initially, the parliamentary opposition in the person of the former ruling Republican Party sabotaged the holding of early elections. However, later Pashiyan managed to win over the deputies from the Prosperous Armenia Party to his side. Assurances were also received from the Dashnak party that they do not sabotage the government"s actions, and will not obstruct Pashinyan"s re-election. If the plan works, the early parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on December 9-10. -02D-
