Pentagon to Name 'Operation' in Ukraine and to appoint Commanding General - Wall Street Journal
Baku/25.08.22/Turan: All US efforts in the field of military assistance to Ukraine will be combined into a single mission.
Washington also plans to name the military mission supporting Kyiv and appoint a general to lead the training and assistance effort. This was reported on Thursday by The Wall Street Journal.
According to observers, this means that Washington intends to show that the American army is involved into the war.
The appointment of the commander indicates the intention of the Pentagon to create a permanent team of assistance to Ukraine, which will act as military advisers. -0-

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
