Pezeshkian receives Ali Asadov after all
On 31 July, new Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian received Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, who arrived in Tehran to attend Pezeshkian's inauguration.
The press service of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers reports that Asadov handed the Iranian President an invitation from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to attend the COP29 climate conference in Baku in November this year.
The meeting expressed satisfaction with ‘successful development of friendly and brotherly ties between Azerbaijan and Iran in various spheres’.
Recall that the previous day, Pezeshkian and Iranian spiritual leader Ali Khamnei received Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, ignoring the head of the Azerbaijani government, which caused a negative reaction in Baku.
