Poland Can Simplify the Visa Regime for Citizens of Azerbaijan
Poland is interested in developing ties with Azerbaijan on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the EU "Eastern Partnership", initiated by Poland, together with Sweden. This was said at a press conference at the end of negotiations with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Polish Foreign Minister, Radoslaw Sikorski.
He noted that the program "Eastern Partnership" is based on the principle of "a lot - a lot", meaning that the EU establishes a deep relationship with partner countries, depending on whether they accept the principles and values of the EU and fulfill the obligations under the program's objectives.
At the same time, Sikorski pointed out that one of the goals of the "Eastern Partnership" is an oversimplification, and later total abolition of the visa regime.
"We would like to see more Azerbaijani students and investors in Poland," said Sikorski and declared the readiness of Poland to assist Azerbaijan in enhancing the effectiveness of border guard.—06C—
