President Poroshenko canceled his visit to Turkey due to the worsening situation in the Donetsk region.
"I decided to cancel a working visit to Turkey in connection with the rapidly deteriorating situation in the Donetsk region, in particular in Amvrosievka and Starobeshevo due to deployment of Russian troops in Ukraine," said Poroshenko.
Today will be convened a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to develop a further action plan.
According to him, Ukraine needs to urgently initiate a meeting of the UN Security Council. "The world needs to assess the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine," said the president.
According to the Ukrainian president, Kyiv appealed to its European partners to convene an emergency meeting of the Council of the European Union. -02D
