Preparations for Azerbaijani-Turkish military exercises
Baku/18.10.23/Turan: Joint Azerbaijani-Turkish military tactical exercises will be held in Azerbaijan on 23-25 October. The exercises are dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Turkey, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry reports.
As a part of preparations for the exercise, training has begun to practice various episodes of the upcoming exercises. In particular, units of the army and rocket-artillery troops have been withdrawn from permanent deployment points to concentration areas. They are taking up firing positions and carrying out preparations for combat use.
During the exercises, attention will be paid to ensuring the compatibility and interaction of troops, improving command and control, exchanging experience and raising the professionalism of personnel. -06B-

In Azerbaijan, there is a need to adopt an Amnesty Act, said Siyavush Novruzov, the head of the parliamentary committee on regional issues, during a session of the Milli Majlis on February 3. He reminded that since independence, Azerbaijan has adopted 13 amnesty acts and over 70 pardoning decrees. "The parliament can once again put forward such an initiative and prepare an amnesty act by Independence Day (May 28)," Novruzov said.
