President Ilham Aliyev receives delegation of U.S. congressmen
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received the U.S. delegation led by head of Foreign Affair Committee`s Subcommittee of the House of Representatives Dana Rohrabacher and consisted of republican congressman from the state of Tennessee Marsha Blackburn, republican congressman from the state of Texas Ted Poe, republican congressman from the state of Colorado Doug Lamborn and Subcommittee Staff Director Paul Berkowitz.
The Head of State praised bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States in a variety of fields.
President Ilham Aliyev spoke of Azerbaijan`s economic achievements in recent years.
The President hailed the U.S. delegation`s visit to Azerbaijan, adding this trip created a good opportunity for discussions on development of bilateral ties between the two countries in various fields.
Head of Foreign Affair Committee`s Subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives Dana Rohrabacher said it was his second visit to Azerbaijan, noting he had eye-witnessed big development in the country since his last trip.
During the meeting, they stressed the importance of cooperation between the legislative bodies for expansion of bilateral relationship.
The sides also discussed regional and energy cooperation.

On February 5, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. According to the document, the Ministry of Energy has been allocated 1 million US dollars to purchase and send electrical equipment, manufactured in Azerbaijan, to Ukraine.
