"Public Chamber" calls on democratic forces to consolidate
Regular session of the "Public Chamber" was held on Saturday in the headquarters of "Musavat" party. The participants discussed organizational issue, and Rafiq Jalilov, the head of the Committee to Protect Rights of Hilal Mammadov, was elected to the Coordinating Council of the "Public Chamber".
Then the leader of the PPFA, Ali Kerimli, gave a summary report over the last moth on the work done during his presidency of the Coordinating Council. They focused on the issue of withdrawal fro the country $48 billion, as described by the international organizations.
In addition, "Public Chamber" held discussions on the issue of army building, the situation in the education sphere, in prisons, violation of the media freedom, and authoritarianism in Nakhchivan.
Referring to internal political problems, Kerimli said filing a lawsuit on alleged poisoning Abulfaz Elchibey, is the plan of the authorities in connection with the presidential elections in 2013.
"It is hard to say what will be the legal results of the case, but from a political point of view, the plan collapsed," Kerimli said.
The session approved the memorandum of the "Public Chamber" in connection with the elections of 2013, which calls on all democratic forces to consolidate and conduct free and fair elections.
