Baku / 05.12.17 / Turan: The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Russian Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov on December 5. During the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of cooperation in the field of information technology. In particular, they considered the possibility of using the transit potential of Azerbaijan in the implementation of the TASIM project and postal communication.
Nikiforov also said that at the opening of the exhibition Bakutel-2017, 190 companies from 20 countries, including Russia, participate.
Aliyev expressed his belief that the Bakutel-2017 exhibition plays a big role in spreading modern technologies and acquires international significance. -02D-

President Ilham Aliyev approved the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in transit cargo transportation along the "North-South" international transport corridor (ITC) on February 11, 2025. The agreement was signed on December 21, 2024, by the heads of the transport ministries of both countries.
