President of Azerbaijan receives Speaker of Georgian Parliament
Baku/11.12.23/Turan: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili on December 11.
Aliyev emphasized the successful development of bilateral friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in all spheres. Touching upon the importance of joint projects implemented by the two countries, he called them an important factor in the Eurasian space and expressed confidence in the successful implementation of joint initiatives in the future.
The head of state stressed that inter-parliamentary cooperation has also made an important contribution to the development of relations.
For his part, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament said that the joint projects implemented by the two countries serve the well-being of the peoples of both countries and peace in the region. According to him, bilateral friendly relations are developing successfully.
The sides also exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and culture.-03-

Activist Nijat Ibrahim, who was detained in Baku pre-trial detention center-1, inflicted numerous wounds on himself on November 20 in protest against unjustified criminal prosecution, his wife Parvin Ibrahim told Turan. According to her, on November 21, her husband called her and informed her that the day before he had inflicted incised wounds on himself with a piece of mirror. In particular, he cut his throat and ears.
