Presidents of Azerbaijan and Afghanistan
On Monday the Presidents Ilham Aliyev met with Afghanistan’s president Mohammad Ashraf Ghani. According to the press service of Azerbaijan, they discussed a wide aspect of bilateral relations in the economic and political spheres. "Afghanistan is a brotherly country for us and working with you is a great interest to us," said Aliyev, noting the possibility for further expansion of ties. In turn, the head of Afghanistan thanked Baku for economic and political support, and in particular, for investment in the economy. The sides also discussed regional issues, including the Karabakh conflict.
Together with Ashraf Ghani the chief executive of this country, Abdullah Abdullah, also arrived in Baku. -02D-
