Jalal Aliyev, an uncle of the President of Azerbaijan and a brother of Heydar Aliyev, died at the age of 87 on January 31.
As stated in the report of the National Academy of Sciences, the farewell ceremony will be held in the assembly hall of the Presidium of the Academy at 14:00 today. The funeral will be held at the Alley of Honor.
Jalal Aliyev was a member of the National Academy, a biologist. For many years he was a member of parliament and one of the most outspoken members of the ruling party New Azerbaijan.
It is noteworthy that up to 11:00 on February 1, official media and pro-government sources did not report anything about it. There were not even condolences from the party New Azerbaijan.
According to unofficial information, the reason for this was the cool attitude of the Azerbaijani authorities to Jalal Aliyev. -02D-
