"Public Chamber" of Nakhchivan prepares for protests
The meeting of the Nakhchivan branch of the "Public Chamber" of Azerbaijan adopted 17 new members.
According to the regional correspondent of Turan, the participants of the meeting discussed the socio-political situation in the country and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR).
It was noted that the deep crisis that affected all areas of life in the region and countries call for consolidation of all opposition forces to implement democratic reforms. Particular concern was expressed about the covert introduction of a state of emergency in NAR after the spread of anti-government leaflets.

As for the sources of distributing leaflets, it may be the work of the government itself to justify control measures, or - a manifestation inter-power struggle.
The meeting particioants also condemned the harassment of journalists and activists.
It was considered appropriate to begin in the near future protests against the policies of local authorities and "fraudulent parliament" of Azerbaijan. Place, time and the form of protest actions will be determined by Coordinating Council of Nakhchivan branch of the "Public Chamber". –06D--
