Putin spoke with Aliyev about Karabakh
Baku/19.05.21/Turan: Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev had a telephone conversation, the Kremlin's official website. They continued discussion of the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh with an emphasis on solving practical tasks to ensure security and stability in the region in full accordance with the letter and spirit of the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021.
In this context, attention was paid to the recent incident on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. The settlement should be carried out exclusively by political and diplomatic methods. The Russian side will continue mediating efforts and providing advisory assistance aimed at reaching an agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia on launching the process of delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
They also exchanged views on key aspects of the bilateral agenda. Ilham Aliyev expressed his sincere gratitude for the ongoing supplies of Russian vaccines. Mutual interest was expressed in deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas. This will be the focus of intensive contacts between governments, relevant ministries and departments. -0-
