REAL Proposes to Introduce Institution of Elected Mayor of Baku
Baku / 10.29.18 / Turan: The Republican Alternative Party (REAL) decided to launch a campaign to collect 40,000 voter signatures in support of a legislative initiative to establish the post of elected mayor in Baku and eliminate the negative effects of devaluation.
Decisions on this were made at the session of the party"s Majlis on October 27.
The party refers to article 96 of the Constitution of Azerbaijan, according to which 40,000 voters can submit bills to parliament.
The party proposes the adoption of the law "On compensation for damage caused by devaluation to citizens, banks and enterprises in connection with loan repayments".
The party also approved the strategy of REAL on the steps to be taken in the event of early parliamentary elections. -06D-
