Red Crescent in anticipation of response from Russian peacekeepers
Baku/30.08.23/Turan: Two trucks with 40 tons of flour sent by Azerbaijani Red Crescent Society for Karabakh Armenians are still at the post of Russian peacekeepers between Aghdam and Khankandi.
As the Secretary General of the Azerbaijani Red Crescent Society, Ceyhun Mirzoev, told Turan, a certificate of flour was presented to the peacekeepers. The packaging date is indicated on the bags – August 28, 2023.
"They asked for time to discuss the issue with the command," Mirzoyev said.
Until a response is received, representatives of the Red Crescent will remain in this territory, he said. Tents of representatives of the Red Crescent and volunteers have been set up at the post.
Meanwhile, at night, the peacekeepers installed barbed wire and spikes at their post to prevent passage towards Khankandi.
Azerbaijani Presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev said in an interview with the BBC that the Lachyn-Khankendi road will open 24 hours after the opening of the road through Aghdam. "The more roads, the better for everyone," he said. -21B06-
