Baku / 11.05.18 / Turan: The call of the new Armenian Prime Minister to Azerbaijan to recognize Nagorno-Karabakh and start negotiations with it has been rejected by the official Baku.
Thus, the head of state Ilham Aliyev, speaking on the eve of the event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, said that the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan cannot be a subject of negotiations and the position of Baku remains unchanged.
"The Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict must find a solution only on the basis of norms and principles of international law, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan must be fully restored, and four resolutions of the UN Security Council must be implemented. These resolutions openly state that the occupation forces should be withdrawn unconditionally from the occupied lands. There are no other ways to resolve the conflict," Aliyev said.
"Azerbaijan will never allow the creation of a second Armenian state on its land. If someone thinks differently, then I think he lives in vain illusions," he said.
"Two years ago, the Azerbaijani army liberated some of the Agdere, Fizuli and Jabrayil districts from the invaders. There will come a day when the Azerbaijani flag will be raised on all the still occupied lands, including Shusha and Khankendi," he stressed. -02D-
