Nationwide forum devoted to the problem of political prisoners will be held in the near future. This decision was taken at the next meeting of the Public Alliance "Azerbaijan without political prisoners." The Forum is held to raise the attention of the Azerbaijani and international community to the problem of political prisoners.
The statement of the Alliance also condemns the recent increase in the number of political prisoners, and the attempt of turning the country into a prison by Aliyev regime." The importance of strengthening the protection of the rights of political prisoners is noted.
The Alliance also condemned the detention in Agjabedi on January 26 Rufat Hajibeyli, a member of the organization, for participating in a protest against rising prices.-05D06-
