Russia is ready to organize a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan – Russian Foreign Ministry
Baku/02.11.23/Turan: Moscow has extended an olive branch in the ongoing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, expressing its willingness to facilitate dialogue and reduce tensions between the two nations. Russia's proposal entails organizing a trilateral meeting of foreign ministers from Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia in Moscow, with the aim of fostering a peaceful resolution to the longstanding disputes.
Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, made this announcement during a briefing on Thursday. Her statement emphasized Russia's commitment to promoting stability and cooperation in the South Caucasus region.
"We proceed from the fact that the roadmap for normalization of bilateral relations remains a set of trilateral agreements that were adopted in the period from 2020 to 2022. It includes signing a peace treaty between the two countries, unblocking economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus," Ms. Zakharova stated.--0--
