Azerbaijan's air defense system is able to detect and neutralize any missile fired by the Armenian side, said Eldar Sabiroglu, the head of the press service of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, at a press conference in Tartar region.
According to him, Azerbaijan’s radar can detect missiles fired at startup and eliminate it. Moreover, the Azerbaijani army can strike any target at the territory of Armenia during one or two minutes, he said.
According to Sabiroglu, Azerbaijan has placed on the front line the most modern weapons and noted the high combat readiness of the Azerbaijani army for the liberation of the occupied territories.
According to him, the Azerbaijani army has the most modern weapons, allowing to destroy enemy targets "at any distance and in any place." Sabiroglu also said the high morale of the Azerbaijani army. Over 10 months of this year the losses of the Azerbaijani army totaled 12 men, and the enemy lost 32 soldiers.
Most often, the ceasefire was violated in the Fizuli, Agdam and Terter directions. The most intense period of the year was June. Speaking about the professional training of Azerbaijani military, he told about service of the Azerbaijani officers in the NATO headquarters. So, naval officers will be assigned to the headquarters of the Royal Navy, the city of Norfolk.
Today's statements by Sabiroglu can be regarded as response to the statements of Armenian officers and generals, who threatened in recent weeks, to destroy oil and gas infrastructure in Azerbaijan in the event of hostilities. –06D-
