Serjik threatens to occupy 30% of Azerbaijan
Yerevan/03.10.13/Turan-ArmInfo: "If Azerbaijan starts fighting against Artsakh, Armenia will protect it by all its military forces," said the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on the eve of the PACE session in Strasbourg.
"There was no need to start hostilities, and then complain of the occupation. Now the Azerbaijani authorities threaten us with war. However, I am sure that if they start, then a few months later Azerbaijanis will talk not about the 20 or 25 percent, but about 30 per cent of occupation. They should not start hostilities," Sarkisian said, responding to accusations of Azerbaijani MP, Samad Seyidov, why Armenia has occupied 20 % of Azerbaijani territories.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his statements continues to threaten with war, calls the Armenians the enemy number one, is proud of escalating and continuation of arms race. However, much of the Azerbaijani people, do not share the views of the militant leadership, Sargsyan said.
The President also called on the international community and PACE to exert pressure on Azerbaijan, where the authorities regularly declare their intention to resolve the conflict by force, so that it undertakes international obligations. "PACE is to raise the question whether Azerbaijan is committed to their commitments or not; if not – decision should be taken; if yes – they should fulfill the obligations," said Sargsyan . -02D-

We deeply regret that President of the country which is officially a “strategic partner” of Azerbaijan has participated in the unacceptable diplomatic “binocular show” leading to the aggravation of relations between Azerbaijan and Poland,”" reads the statement on the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ account on X (formerly Twitter).
