Seven Azerbaijani citizens repatriated from Syria
Baku/31.03.22/Turan: Seven Azerbaijani citizens held in the Amerna camp in the Syrian city of Jerablus were repatriated to their homeland on March 31.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, on the basis of an agreement with the Turkish authorities, these persons were first allowed to enter the territory of this country.
Further, the interdepartmental working group of Azerbaijan conducted a preliminary medical and psychological examination of the repatriates in Turkey and provided them with the necessary assistance.
After that, the Azerbaijani embassy issued travel documents to the repatriates and on March 31, 2022, these persons, accompanied by an interdepartmental delegation of Azerbaijan, were taken to their homeland by Ankara-Baku flight.—06B-

Elnur Hasanov, an activist of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP), who was sentenced to three years in prison on drug-related charges, began a hunger strike on December 3. According to the APFP, Hasanov is protesting against his failure to be transferred to a correctional facility and the denial of meetings with his relatives.
