The spiritual leader of Azerbaijan, Sheikh Allahshukur Pashazade invited the Pope Francis to Azerbaijan.
The invitation was sent on Monday at a meeting with the Minister of Culture of Vatican, Gianfranco Ravazi. In 2002 former Pope John Paul II visited Azerbaijan.—0--

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
