Sheikh Pashazade received officials of the US State Department
Baku/09.03.23/Turan: On March 9, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board (CMB), Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, received employees of the Department of International Religious Freedom of the US Department of State - Deputy Ambassador-at-Large Carson Rocker and Adviser on Europe and Central Asia Joanna Wolfsberg.
According to the CMB, the secretary of the Baku and Azerbaijan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Alexy Nikonorov, the head of the community of mountain Jews in Azerbaijan, Melich Evdaev, the head of the community of European Jews in Baku, Alexander Sharovsky and the head of the Albanian-Udi Christian religious community, Robert Mobili, took part in the meeting.
Pashazade informed the guests about state-religious relations and multiculturalism in Azerbaijan. He also spoke about the activities of the Advisory Council of Leaders of Religious Denominations.
The representatives of the State Department and participants of the meeting exchnaged views. The guests were introduced to the areas of cooperation of the country's religious communities, charitable activities, etc. questions.
