"SOCAR" and "Palmali" allocated aid to earthquake victims in Turkey
Baku/16.02.23Turan: A telethon to collect funds for victims of the earthquake in Turkey, held yesterday, was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan.
Thus, the local branch of state oil company "SOCAR" donated 3.5 million liras.
Well-known businessman, head of "Palmali" company Mubariz Mansimov donated 2 million liras, purchased 200 modular houses, 130 tents, sponsored the construction of 100 homes and support for 500 students from the earthquake zone.
The funds raised will be transferred to the accounts of the Emergency Situations Agency of Turkey (AFAD) and the Turkish Red Crescent Society.
The telethon was held on TV channels in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus. -05D06-
