Baku/26.01.23/Turan: Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General's Office is conducting an operation in the excise goods department of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, more information will be made available to the public about the outcome of the operation and its results. According to unofficial information, there are customs officers who have been detained.
On January 25, Hikmet Babaoglu, an MP from the ruling "Yeni Azerbaijan Party", said that one of the main areas where corruption is widespread is the customs sphere.
