State Committee for Religious Organisations announced list of vacancies in country's mosques
The State Committee for Religious Organisations of Azerbaijan has announced a competition to fill vacant positions in a number of mosques in the country:
1. Shirvan town mosque "Zeynalabidin" - Imam.
2. Tazakand village mosque of Agjabedi region - Deputy Imam
3. Shin village mosque of Sheki region - Deputy Imam
4. Lankaran town "Juma" mosque - performer of women's religious rituals.
Those willing to take part in the interview should send the following documents electronically to: sened@scara.gov.az or on paper to the State Committee for Religious Organisations (Baku, Sabail district, 16 Ahmed Javad str., AZ 1001):
- Copy of ID card or extract from state information resources;
- Biography;
- Notarized copy of document on religious higher and secondary education or extract from state information resources;
- Health certificate;
- Certificate from a drug dispensary;
- Certificate from a psycho-neurological dispensary;
- Certificate of criminal record;
- Photograph (3x4) (4 pcs.);
- Application. In addition to the required documents, the candidate may also submit documents on scientific, pedagogical and creative activity.
The time and place of the interview will be posted on the website of the State Committee for Religious Organisations after the deadline for accepting documents.

The court records from the trial of Teymur Kerimov, the head of the YouTube channel Kanal-11, were falsified, the declaration distributed by Kerimov's colleagues. “The court documents are distorted. They misrepresented the testimony of citizens. For instance, the victim Leila Almaszadeh stated in court that she had no complaints against me. In court, she said, “Teymur did not ask me for money and did not receive any money from me.” However, the court protocol states that she is complaining about me and demands the removal of illegally recorded videos,” writes Kerimov.
