Sulhaddin Akbar: The authorities lead the country to withstand
Chairman of the "Open Society" Sulhaddin Akbar held a press conference due to police violence.
On November 4 the party planned to hold a conference in the office of Sumgait Branch of the Classic Popular Front Party. However, prior to the event, the police blocked the office and did not allow a conference to be held. In this case, they motivated the ban by a gas leak.
At the same time, the head of Sumgayit branch of the party was taken to the police. According Sulhaddin Akbar, when he came to the place of the event, there were already police and men in plain clothes.
"They did not let me out of the car and actually forcibly took me to the police station N3. At first, they wanted to take a statement, but after some phone calls, they change their mind. The police told me not to hold a conference, as Sumgait is developing steadily. Moreover, I was told not to come to this city, " said Sulhaddin Akbar.
"This is a dictatorship, and only people can stop it," said Akbar.
Such harsh methods used to maintain power, can lead to illegal activity.
The authorities are leading the country to chaos and confrontation, said Akbar.
Party "Open Society" and Advisory Majlis democratic forces, which is a member of the Party, issued a statement condemning the events in Sumgait.
Party "Open Society" was founded in 2007, and its leader Rasul Guliyev from 1996 is in the USA in exile. Since May, Sulhaddin Akbar has been leading this party.
Consultative Majlis of Democratic Forces was established in September 2012, and unites 14 parties. -05C04-

They misrepresented the testimony of citizens. For instance, the victim Leila Almaszadeh stated in court that she had no complaints against me. In court, she said, “Teymur did not ask me for money and did not receive any money from me.” However, the court protocol states that she is complaining about me and demands the removal of illegally recorded videos,” writes Kerimov.
