Supreme Court Returns Complaint of General Gabil Mammadov to Court of Appeal
Baku / 17.01.20 / Turan: On January 17, the Supreme Court examined the complaint of General Gabil Mammadov against the decision of the Court of Appeal, which refused to satisfy the complaint about the illegal refusal of the Lankaran District Electoral Commission to register Mammadov as a candidate for deputy in the February 9 parliamentary elections.
"My rights were grossly violated by the district election commission (DEC), which unreasonably refused registration, and the Court of Appeal refused to consider my complaint," Mammadov told Turan.
He expressed satisfaction with the decision of the Supreme Court and the hope that the re-examination of his complaint in the Court of Appeal would be objective.
Recall that the reason for the refusal of registration by the DEC was the allegedly false information of Mammadov about real estate and property. However, he submitted documents refuting the false certificates submitted to the DEC by the head of the police and the State Register of Lankaran.
Azerbaijan’s CEC ignored Mammadov’s arguments. -02D-
