Terrorist slogans at Armenia-Turkey match
Baku/25.03.26/Turan: The qualifying match of the European Football Championship 2024 between the national teams of Armenia and Turkey on Saturday in Yerevan ended with a 2-1 victory for the Turkish team.
During the match, Armenian fans in the stands raised the flags of the self-proclaimed the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and several nationalist slogans. In particular, among them was the slogan NEMEZİS.
This is the name of the operation of a whole series of terrorist attacks, during which dozens of Turkish and Azerbaijani statesmen were killed at the beginning of the 20th century.
The operation was developed by the Dashnaktsutyun party and carried out by its militants in Turkey, Tiflis and various European cities. The victims of these attacks were members of the government of the Young Turks and the Azerbaijan People's Republic.
The use of such slogans and attributes of unrecognized states is prohibited by FIFA rules and should be assessed accordingly. -02B-
