The Accounting Chamber collects compromising material against Arif Mammadov?
The Accounting Chamber Board has summed up inspections of the activity of the Mission of Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe. The audit "revealed serious irregularities and shortcomings," reads the information of the Accounting Chamber.
In particular, "no-purpose use of budgetary funds in 2007-2012, an indication of incorrect data, non-compliance with state secrets, and others" were revealed. On the basis of the identified violations it was decided to send the materials to the Prosecutor General, the report said.
However, it is not clear what caused such a late check and why just over this period? Whether the other diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan abroad were checked too?
In the period from 2007-2012 the Head of Mission of Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe Arif Mammadov, a diplomat who sharply criticized officials for the fire on May 19, 2015 in Baku, when 15 people died.
