The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry replied to Pashinyan
Baku/31.08.23/Turan: During a speech at a government meeting on August 31, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan once again without any grounds, accused Azerbaijan of carrying out "genocide". This is a manifestation of irresponsible manipulation on the part of Armenia, the commentary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
If the Armenian side really needed help, they would not have blocked the road to the peacekeeping contingent and would not have prevented the passage of these goods. The position of the Armenian side demonstrates that statements about a severe "humanitarian catastrophe" are nothing but political manipulations, the commentary says.
As for the claims that Baku wants to open the Lachin road in one direction and expel the Armenians from Karabakh, conditions have been created for the Armenian population to travel through the Lachin border checkpoint in both directions. "Therefore, accusations of carrying out a policy of ethnic cleansing in the region are absurd."
The Prime Minister of Armenia verbally supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. If so, he should support the policy of reintegration of Karabakh Armenians and refrain from violating the integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan," the commentary says. ---02D--
