Tbilisi/31.05.17/Turan: Disappearance of a person is a serious challenge for our statehood and sovereignty, - President Giorgi Margvelashvili told journalists. The President responded to the detention of the Azerbaijani journalist. According to him, the state must protect its own prestige. "The lawyer's statement is very grave for several reasons. First of all, we all need to understand that we are proud of the fact that Georgia is a leader in the region in terms of protection of journalism and human rights; it is an integral part of our statehood and sovereignty. According to him, the statements made by the lawyers should be studied and analyzed, as disappearance of a person is a serious challenge for our statehood and sovereignty," said the President.
The President assured that this issue will be carefully studied and analyzed, the Tbilisi-based IPN agency reports. -16D-
