The chairmanship of the GUAM PA has passed from Ukraine to Azerbaijan
Baku/11.01.24/Turan: On January 11, the 6th meeting of the committees of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM, as well as the 18th meeting of the bureau and the 16th session of the organization were held via videoconference.
According to the Department of Public Relations of the Milli Majlis, the following issues were discussed during the event: the military and security situation in the GUAM area, economic cooperation between the members, the economic and humanitarian situation of the member states.
Issues of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries and inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed at the 16th session of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly.
The head of the Azerbaijani delegation, MP Elnur Allahverdiyev spoke on the topic: "The restoration of world order, sovereignty and territorial integrity as the highest goal of the GUAM member States."
As a result, the Communique of the 16th session of the GUAM PA was adopted. During the meeting, the chairmanship of the GUAM PA transferred from Ukraine to Azerbaijan.-03D-
