The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group are going to the region
The representative of the French Foreign Ministry Romain Nadal said that the OSCE Minsk Group on Karabakh settlement in the coming days will visit Baku, Yerevan and Nagorno-Karabakh, RIA-Novosti reported. According to the same source, on April 9, the co-chairs will arrive in Yerevan.
"The mediators will meet with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, and will held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian," said the Armenian Foreign Ministry press secretary.
Official Baku has not yet confirmed this information. This information is absent on the OSCE website.
Armenian sources claim that the "agreements on bilateral ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh" has been prepared. "At the moment a document on ceasefire is under preparation, but I was not authorized to speak about the details," said press-secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan.
Apparently, the Armenian side wants to confirm the current truce by the document. However, Yerevan and Karabakh forget that there is an armistice agreement in 1994 and Baku unlikely wants to conclude a new agreement and take on additional responsibilities.
Time will show if the expectations are realistic. -02D-
