The court arrested Zeynal Bagirzade (UPDATED)

 The Nakhchivan Babek District Court today activist of PPFA Zeynal Bagirzade, said his brother Yasar Bagirsoy. Zeynal’s family was not informed that  he was  brought to court.

"He was  secretly  taken to the  Babek court, and arrested there," said Bagirsoy.  The term of arrested is  not reported. The family intends to appeal the decision.

Zeynal Bagirzade , a PFPA activist was detained activist in Nakhchivan, and is accused of resisting arrest (Article 315 of the Criminal Code), according to his brother, the head of the regional organization of PPFA, Yashar Bagirsoy. Last Saturday,  representatives of State Social Protection Fund came to the home of  Bagirzade in the village of Nehram, demanding payment to the Fund. Bagirzade was not in the house, and one of the officials Faig Ismayilov, said bad words about him, and insulted his wife. Neighbors came to the noise, and the official said, "Jalil Mamdekulizade correctly called them Danabash (slow-witted).

Why did the officials came to his home to check and why did they insulted his wife?

In response Ismayilov and other officials began to hit Bagirzadeh. Almost unconscious, he was thrown into the street, and passer-by helped Bagirzade.

Bagirzadeh complained to the Prosecutor's Office of Babek region. On Monday, he was summoned to the prosecutor's office where were the officials who beat him.

Bagirzade was arrested, and he is expected to appear in court today. Brother of the detainee said that Zeynal was not involved in any business activity. In particular, the land, which he owns is not cultivated, because there is no water supply in the village.

A few years ago Bagirzade was arrested because protests against the overlapping water to the village and was convicted. Subsequently, the prison term has been replaced with a conditional. -06B-
