On Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Alisultan Osmanov Baku Court of Grave Crimes started a trial on the case of the journalist Rauf Mirkadyrov accused of espionage in favor of Armenia. As the lawyer Fual Agayev told Turan, the court rejected some of his applications. Referring to the conduct of the trial due to a state secret, the lawyer refused to disclose other details of the process. At the same time, he declared unfounded the accusations against Mirkadyrov.
Mirkadyrov himself also denied the charges.
The trial will continue in the afternoon, when they will hear the testimony of the witnesses.
Recall that the journalist was arrested in Baku on April 19 immediately after the deportation from Turkey. He is charged under Article 274 of the Criminal Code (high treason). -16D-
